The Kennedy Forum

APF's work with The Kennedy Forum spans a number of projects, most notably our collaboration on the nationwide launch of the Mental Health Parity Index. This tool offers the first look at real-time commercial insurance data on mental health and substance use coverage metrics. It raises the potential of widespread issues for both patient access and clinician pay, which can mean longer wait times, higher out-of-pocket costs, and increased reliance on out-of-network care for individuals seeking treatment. More details available here.

Purdue University Global

APF participates in Purdue University Global's partnership offerings. This partnership provides APF with benefits related to hiring and job posting, internships, work study placements, and more.

Jewish Community Mental Health Initiative (JCMHI)

The Jewish Community Mental Health Initiative (JCMHI), a Direct Action Program of the American Psychological Foundation, is dedicated to creating a supportive, compassionate, and inclusive space for members of the Jewish community, through a combination of direct support, research, and education and resources. The reciprocal integration of lived experience and clinical insight aids our understanding and strengthens our collective response to the mental health needs of the Jewish community.

GPS Group Peer Support

The Group Peer Support Direct Action Program (GPS DAP) at the American Psychological Foundation (APF) supports the expansion of the GPS model to offer free, evidence-based support groups to even more communities in need. Through this APF Direct Action Program, Group Peer Support will continue to adapt its successful model for diverse populations, meeting the ever increasing need for mental health support and social connection among these communities.
