Bridging Divides: The Psychology of Propaganda, Dehumanization, & Healing
Date: Thursday, November 5, 2026 | 6:00pm Eastern Time
Fee: Free!
Location: Zoom
Join APF for a Direct Action Town Hall exploring how psychology can help us navigate political divides, and build a path toward healing.
Political division, misinformation, and distrust has deepened across the United States, alongside growing hostility toward people with opposing views. These fractures are not only political or cultural; they are psychological. That’s where psychological science comes in, offering evidence-based tools to help us understand them and move forward.
Featuring APF CEO Dr. Michelle Quist Ryder and Dr. Brittany Tausen of Baylor University, and moderated by APF Program Officer Dr. Rebecca Pasillas, this conversation will explore how division takes hold, why it can escalate, and what the research says about disrupting these harmful cycles.
