Lowman-Richardson Consulting and I-O Psychology Research Grant

The Lowman-Richardson Consulting and I-O Psychology Research Grant supports research in the following areas:
Professional ethics related to organizational, consulting, and / or I-O psychology; Research on the interaction of occupational interests, abilities, and personality related to career choice, job satisfaction, work motivation, and/or job performance; Occupational mental health.

The Lowman-Richardson Consulting and I-O Psychology Research Grant supports research in the following areas:

  • occupational mental health

Eligibility

APF encourages applicants from diverse backgrounds with respect to age, race, color, religion, creed, nationality, ability, sexual orientation, gender, and geography.

Applicants must:

  • Be doctoral level psychologists of any career stage. Priority will be given to early career psychologists
  • Demonstrate competence and capacity to execute the proposed work

  • IRB Approval:
    • This program requires that applicants specify how they will handle obtaining appropriate IRB approvals and finding any necessary collaborators in order to complete their work. Applicants are not required to have IRB approval at the time of application. Applicants must provide a copy of the project’s IRB approval letter (or a waiver that indicates that their project does not require IRB approval) before funding can be disbursed.

Evaluation Criteria

Applicants will be evaluated on:

  • quality, viability, and potential impact of the proposed project
  • originality, innovation, and contribution to the field of consulting and I-O psychology
  • applicant’s demonstrated competence and capability to execute the proposed work
  • criticality of funding for execution of work
